Update on Bashir Arrest Warrant: ICC Denies a Decision Has Been Made

Following earlier reports in The New York Times and from Reuters that judges of the ICC (International Criminal Court) at the Hague had reached a decision to issue an arrest warrant for Sudan President Omar al Bashir related to atrocities in Darfur, yesterday the ICC released a statement saying that a decision has not yet been made in the case. High level diplomats, however, continue to indicate that they expect a decision authorizing the warrant by the end of the month.

Please, let us take advantage of this time of uncertainty on the matter to earnestly pray that events unfold according to the will of God, that the peace process not be threatened and that no additional suffering be inflicted on innocent Sudanese.
