Recent continuous and heavy rains have raised the level of the Kinati River, which passes through Torit, by almost a meter from the dangerously low level to which it had sunk in the drought of the preceding months. This has spurred some local fishermen to hit the banks and try their luck. This boy and older man we encountered along the river this past weekend had each caught two.

Deo Gratias! I am so happy you are all getting rain. I think it's a global thing now. Here in the US we were also in a drought but now at 75% capacity in the reservoirs. I hope your friends had a very delicious, abundant fishing expedition. And may God grant everyone a full and bountifull harvest this year.
