Carmel of St. Therese of Lisieux, Loretto, PA

Last Wednesday I made a journey to Loretto, PA, to visit the Carmelite Nuns of St. Therese of Lisieux Monastery in Loretto, PA. Sr. Claire Benedicta of the Cross, O.Carm. has been a friend and intercessor there for years, and the entire community have been faithful and generous supporters of the CFR Missions in both Honduras and Sudan. St. Therese of Lisieux, a closistered Carmelite nun herself, is one of the co-patron saints of the missions, along with with the Jesuit St. Francis Xavier. Although she remained in France, her heart reached out to the missionary efforts of the Church, which she supported by her life of prayer. I am extremely grateful to these nuns, as well as to others who support my life and ministry in Sudan through prayer, and am happy to have had the opportunity to express it to them in person.
